Germany cup final - sensation: "Eintracht" defeated "Bayern" and became champions (VIDEO)

On Saturday evening, the final of the 2017-18 season took place in the German Cup.

In the country's capital, the last season's trophy holder clashed with Munich's "Bayern" against Frankfurt's "Eintracht". The final presented a true sensation - in Jupp Heynckes' farewell match, the Bavarians lost 1-3 and handed over the champions title to the "Eintracht" team.

The "Eintracht" team had a very successful start to the match. In the 11th minute, a serious mistake in the penalty area by Thiago allowed Ante Rebic to escape, and he scored a great goal to put "Eintracht" ahead.

During the remaining time of the first half, "Bayern" tried to equalize, but could not find a way past Frankfurt's defense.

In the second half, balance was restored - in the 53rd minute, Robert Lewandowski equalized the score after a precise pass from Joshua Kimmich.

It seemed that it would be even harder to stop the "Bayern" team after this goal, but patiently defending, the "Eintracht" team got their chance in the 82nd minute - quickly taking the ball from the opponents, they made a long pass forward, and once again, A. Rebic escaped from the defenders and sent his team's fans into triumph.

The "Bayern" team had to go all out in the last minutes. In the final minute of the match, even Sven Ulreich left his goal, but after a corner kick defended by "Eintracht", they secured the victory - Mijat Gacinovic made a run all over the field and scored the third goal.

For the "Eintracht" team, this is the fifth German Cup title in the club's history. "Bayern" finished the season by only winning the "Bundesliga" championship.
