The football club „Gintra-Universitetas“ can be considered one of the most successful clubs in modern Lithuanian football history - they have become Lithuanian champions as many as 18 times. The team does not reduce its ambitions this season and sets only the highest goals for itself. "The goals do not change for many years, they are the highest - winning the Lithuanian championship, this is the minimum here," said the president of „Gintra-Universitetas“ Gintaras Radavičius. The Šiauliai women, who started the season with a bang, defeated the Gargždai „Bangos“ footballers 16:0 in their first match, and in the second match they defeated Vilnius MFA „Žalgiris“-MRU with a score of 9:1.
