"Milan" team coach Gennaro Gattuso must pull himself together and finish strong in the "Serie A" season.
"Gazzetta dello Sport" reports that if the recently extended specialist fails to secure a position guaranteeing a spot in next season's Europa League tournament, he could be dismissed.
The club's sports director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, would also lose his position and would be replaced by Neapolitan Cristiano Giuntoli.
The latter manager gets along well with "Napoli" club manager Maurizio Sarri and would undoubtedly entice the strategist to come to Milan.
In the 59-year-old Italian's contract, a relatively small buyout clause is included - around 7-8 million euros.
Currently, "Milan" is in 6th place in the Italian league, but they face competition from "Atalanta" and "Fiorentina" teams.
The clubs ranking 5th to 7th in the "Serie A" will play in the Europa League.
