Coach Gerard Houllier has stated that he will lead the club next season.

The Frenchman's position has fluctuated throughout the season, as Liverpool's game was very inconsistent. However, the club secured the right to play in the Champions League next year, which was the main goal of the season.

Liverpool's leaders have not yet commented on reports that G. Houllier may start looking for a new job after a meeting with the club management next week.

"I am one hundred percent sure that I will stay at the club for the next season," the coach said. "The club leaders know that we have reached the Champions League for the third time in six years. I cannot stop rumors, but I can say that they are untrue. I am meeting with the club's leaders and we are preparing plans for the new season."

Millionaire S. Morgan, who tried to buy the club, had raised the issue of changing the coach. However, he failed to buy shares in the Liverpool club.

Liverpool officials are still considering an offer from Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to buy 30% of the club's shares for £65 million.
