On Friday evening, the 36th round of the Spanish "Primera" league started, in which the first matches were played.
"Sporting Gijon" in front of their fans fought for valuable points against "Eibar", who were positioned in the middle of the tournament table. The hosts managed to achieve victory with a score of 2-0.
The first goal came in the 43rd minute, when Carlos Carmona put the hosts ahead. The final point at the end of the match was secured by a precise strike from Jonathan Rodriguez-Menendez.
After the victory, "Gijon" moved up to 17th place with 35 points, preserving hope of staying in the top division.
