During a friendly match between Italy and Germany, the FIFA innovation - VAR ("video-assistant referee") video review system was tested.
The match in Milan ended 0-0, and after the game, FIFA president Gianni Infantino revealed the results of the test.
The essence of the system is real-time review of episodes in a stadium room and an attempt to advise the main referee.
Three episodes were analyzed in total, but in none of them did the referee Artur Soares Dias make a mistake.
"For now, the tests are ongoing, nothing perfect has been created yet.
However, at least we had the opportunity to analyze situations and the video assistant could inform the referee about accurately assessed situations.
"We plan to continue testing in the future until it finally becomes a common thing," said Infantino.
