The Šiauliai "Gintros" team will have to look for a new goalkeeper. Liisa Tuomi, who donned the Lithuanian champions' jersey in the middle of last season and has continued her career in the yellow and black ranks until now, took advantage of a clause in her contract and decided to move to another club.
The 21-year-old football player from Finland defended the yellow and black's goal in the most crucial matches of last season – in the Baltic League final stage, the UEFA Women's Champions League, and the final stretch of the A League season.
"We thank Liisa for her contribution to our club's victories and wish her success in this new stage of her career. It's unfortunate that as the season approaches, we have to look for a goalkeeper again, but the situation is what it is, and we need to get to work," said club director Mantas Radavičius.
