Leader of Monaco club Liudovicas Giuly may not be able to represent the French national team due to an injury suffered in the Champions League final.
With the result at 0-0, Giuly suffered an injury and left the field before the end of the first half. Without their leader, Monaco lost by as much as 3-0. If Giuly couldn't play in the European Championship, it would be a double blow for the talented Frenchman.
Monaco coach Didier Deschamps hopes that Giuly's injury is not serious. "I hope the injury is not too serious and Giuly will be able to play in the European Championship," said the coach.
Although he does not have a guaranteed spot in the starting lineup, Giuly, who is in great form this season, would be truly beneficial for the national team. If he still couldn't play, his place would be taken by Olivier Kapo, who recently moved to Juve, or someone else.
