This time, BVB lost 2:4 to Monchengladbach away. The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute with Nico Elvedi scoring. BVB tried to push forward with Erling Haaland, who equalized in the 22nd minute and put his team ahead in the 28th minute. The score became level again in the 32nd minute after another N. Elvedi goal. In the second half, Monchengladbach eventually proved their advantage. In the 49th minute, the hosts were once again brought ahead by Ramy Bensebaini. Marcus Thuram secured the hosts' victory in the 78th minute. After this victory, "Gladbach" overtook BVB in the standings and rose to the fourth place.
