52-year-old strategist Gerardo Martino, in an interview with an Argentine newspaper, talked about his short time at "Barcelona" club.
The Argentine became the head coach of "Barcelona" in the summer of 2013, but his work with the Spanish vice champions ended after just one season. He only managed to win the Spanish Super Cup.
Currently, G. Martino is the coach of the Argentine national team, but he admits that he did not manage to teach anything to either Lionel Messi or the club itself in Barcelona.
"I didn't teach Lionel anything, absolutely nothing. I couldn't teach him or the 'Barcelona' club anything," said the former "Newell's Old Boys" coach.
"I am critical of myself, because my career in Barcelona was unsuccessful. This is a stain on my career, even though this club was supposed to be the most important in my career," G. Martino added.
