England national team and club defender Garis Nevillas spoke about the talent of his teammate and future opponent in the quarterfinals of the European Championship, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 19-year-old Portuguese, along with fellow countryman Luis Figo, in this championship has become a tough challenge even for the best defenders.
"All I know is that this player will not allow me to rest for a second during the full 90 minutes," the defender said. "I believe he is a special talent. He has amazed me since Christmas. Before that, I also felt that he had talent, but after Christmas he proved to everyone at 'Man Utd' club that he will become a world-class player.
"In this championship, it took him two games to start playing in the starting lineup, but his performance brought more enthusiasm and energetic attacking play to the team. Ronaldo is dangerous in the air, on the ground, and in all positions. We have to play excellently to stop him, but we believe in success.
"We have already played against Zidane and Henry, and now we face Figo, Ronaldo, and Deco," the experienced defender continued. "They are excellent players and we must definitely keep an eye on them."
