In the Spanish "La Liga" championship, three matches of the 35th round were played on Saturday.
Madrid's "Atletico" gave "Barcelona" the opportunity to secure the champions title with their own matches. Diego Simeone's team narrowly defeated "Real Valladolid".
The only and winning goal of the match came in the 66th minute, when after Saul Niguez's pass, the "Real Valladolid" defender redirected the ball into his own net.
This victory practically guaranteed the second position for "Atletico", however, they are unlikely to rise any higher - "Barcelona" only needs to win against "Levante" today to claim the title.
Other matches ended in draws between Bilbao's "Athletic" and "Alaves" and between "Leganes" and "Celta".
