The 18-year-old Spaniard became the youngest player to score in the World Cup since the legendary Pele, who scored in the 1958 World Cup.
Gavi celebrated his 18th birthday in August of this year.
Mexican player Manuel Rosas scored a goal at the age of 18 and 90 days.
Nicolae Kovacs and Michael Owen have also scored at this age of 18, but Gavi has surpassed these players in terms of age.
