London's "Arsenal" team goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny can be sure of his future in this team after three seasons - a long-term contract has been signed with the goalkeeper, writes the official team website.

After a great performance last season, where the goalkeeper kept his goal dry in four matches out of the six most important team games, W. Szczesny secured his place in the main lineup of the club.

The 2013-2014 season was no less for the goalkeeper - W. Szczesny defended the goal of the "Arsenal" team in important matches against the "Crystal Palace" and "Liverpool" clubs. In addition, team leaders also noticed that the player performs well for the Polish national team. So at the age of 23, the goalkeeper should stay in the team in London.

W. Szczesny arrived at the "Arsenal" academy in 2006 from his native "Legia" club in Warsaw. The goalkeeper played his first match for the main "Arsenal" team in 2009, when the London team met "West Bromwich". Since then, wearing the "Arsenal" team's shirts, the goalkeeper has played 121 matches.

Arsene Wenger did not hide his joy at the club's and goalkeeper's decision: "We are very pleased that W. Szczesny has signed a long-term contract with the club. I have always believed in his exceptional talent. He is very strong and has great qualities. W. Szczesny is still growing and improving, this goalkeeper has potential and can become even better. He can be a very important part of the 'Arsenal' club for many years."

The happiest was the footballer himself, W. Szczesny: "I am very happy to have signed a long-term contract with the 'Arsenal' club. This club is like a family to me, so I am very happy to be able to connect my future with this team. I have been with the London team for 7 years, I want to thank them for giving me the opportunity and supporting me all this time.

Many people have supported me since I arrived as a boy. People like Tony Roberts helped me improve. I am very proud to play in the 'Arsenal' club and will do my best to make our club successful."
