At 15:30 in the English "Premier" league, the eighth match of the fourth round took place.
"Cardiff" hosted the London "Arsenal" players who were intensively fighting for points. After a fierce and productive battle, the "gunners" triumphed - the victory was led by the excellent attacking duo.
Unai Emery's players started the match playing aggressively in the opponent's half. In the 12th minute, the first goal of the match was scored - after a powerful header from a corner, Shkodran Mustafi sent the ball into the opponent's net.
The first half did not unfold without problems for the "Arsenal" team, but for a long time it was played confidently. However, at the end of the half, Granit Xhaka made a mistake and allowed the hosts to equalize - quickly taking the ball from the "Cardiff" players, Victor Camarasa created an opportunity to score accurately.
In the second half, the "gunners" regained the advantage - after a combination with another team striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang defeated the goalkeeper with a clever shot from about 18 meters.
The advantage was not long-lasting for "Arsenal" - in the 70th minute, Danny Ward scored a header into Petr Cech's goal.
However, in the 81st minute, all the problems in this match were solved by Alexandre Lacazette, who successfully played in the penalty area. The Frenchman avoided the offside, turned with the ball and, with a powerful shot from a fairly acute angle, secured the victory for the North London team.
"Arsenal" is gradually climbing out of the pit - after experiencing two losses in the first rounds, the "gunners" won their second victory in a row. U. Emery should not be satisfied only with defensive work - "Cardiff" had not scored a single goal until these matches.
