Greek Championship halted after armed PAOK leader invades pitch (VIDEO)

The act of Salonika PAOK president Ivan Savvidis, who invaded the field with a gun during a match, has embarrassed the football community and led to the Greek Football Federation suspending league activities.

This Sunday, a crucial match between PAOK and Athens AEK took place in the Greek football league in a battle for the championship title. The match ended in a draw, which did not satisfy the home team.

At the end of the match, PAOK scored a goal, but it was disallowed. The club owner, unwilling to accept this decision, entered the field and shocked the entire football community by attacking the referees and even attempting to draw his gun.

The match was immediately suspended, and the referees were quickly removed from the field. The scandal prompted the intervention of the Greek government, with the Minister of Culture and Sports announcing that the league matches will be suspended until a proper solution is found.

UEFA and FIFA also reacted to the incident, but emphasized that the issues will be addressed by the Greek FA.

The disallowed goal, which caused anger among both PAOK fans and the club owner:
