The right-back of the Danish national team, Jesper Gronkjaer, has signed a two-year contract with the club. It is announced on the official website of the club that 3.3 million euros were paid for the player to the club.

Due to Gronkjaer's price, the clubs reached an agreement during the European Championship, and now the player has also agreed on personal terms with the club. In the previous season, the "Birmingham" team finished in 10th position in the Premier League.

Gronkjaer is already the fifth player that the "Birmingham" club officials acquired this summer. In addition to him, Emil Heskey, Muzzy Izzet, Mario Melchiot, and Julian Gray also joined the club.
