Group E: French "devoured" the Swiss team, Ecuador defeated Honduran footballers (VIDEO)

During the World Cup E group match between France and Switzerland, D.Deschamps' team celebrated an impressive 5-2 victory.

Both teams started the game actively, but did not create dangerous opportunities.

In the 7th minute, the Swiss suffered a loss - S.von Bergenas suffered a head injury and was replaced by Ph.Senderos.

After ten minutes, the first goal of the match fell - O.Giroud accurately directed the ball into the goal after a corner far from the goal - 1-0.

Continuing the game from the middle of the field, O.Hitzfeld's players suffered another blow - the French doubled the score after taking over the ball - 2-0.

In the 26th minute, the Swiss tried to convert a penalty kick, there was confusion in the penalty area and G.Xhaka outplayed Lloris. However, the referee noted an offside.

In the 29th minute, the French managed to defend again - after a quick opponent's attack, Lloris saved the first shot, the second one went wide.

K.Benzema fell in the penalty area after slight contact with Djourou and the referee awarded a penalty kick. The injured player tried to convert it, but D.Benaglio played it perfectly. The subsequent shots by D.Deschamps' players were also inaccurate.

Before the break, the score became 3-0 - after a quick counterattack, M.Valbuena scored.

The Swiss tried to narrow the gap by all means, but lacked accuracy.

In the 67th minute, K.Benzema finally scored a goal, and shortly after his pass, M.Sissoko tore apart the opponents' defense.

O.Hitzfeld's team found the strength to reduce the gap: in the 81st minute, B.Dzemaili scored after a long-range penalty kick, and in the 87th minute, G.Xhaka scored.

K.Benzema scored his second goal, but the referee's whistle had already sounded.

In the first half of the match, an historic event was recorded for the Honduras team - in the 31st minute, Carlos Costly's goal was the first in the World Cup in 32 years.

However, Honduras did not enjoy the lead for long, as Enner Valencia equalized the score in the 34th minute.

In the second half, Ecuador's players stepped up and managed to push forward. In the 65th minute, E.Valencia scored with a header.

After the goal, Reinaldo Rueda's players withdrew and played a positional game, while withstanding attacks from Honduras. However, the Ecuadorians managed to defend against the opponents' attacks and achieve victory, earning three points in the E group table.
