Guardian: "Arsenal" has made an offer matching the buyout clause specified in J. Vardy's contract

It seems that London's "Arsenal" does not intend to rest on their laurels during this off-season. According to the British newspaper "The Guardian," the Gunners have made an offer for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

He is seeking around 20 million pounds sterling, which is the exact release clause specified in his contract.

His current contract, signed with the Foxes in December, is valid until 2019, but his excellent form and 24 goals scored in the Premier League have attracted interest from big clubs.

There is a good chance that the 29-year-old footballer will be sold. However, Leicester City may still offer Vardy a new contract with a higher release clause.
