After the loss, one of the leaders of the German national team Ilkay Gundogan did not hide his disappointment and stated that such things simply cannot happen to the Germans. "We cannot allow such things to happen at all. The opponents entered our penalty area once or twice, but we allowed them to score easily. In turn, we tried to create opportunities ourselves, but only managed to score one goal. It's unfortunate how we missed goals in our own net," - Gundogan spoke after the match.
