Having long awaited a chance to become the head coach, Guti can finally pop the champagne bottle - the legend of Madrid's "Real" club begins work in the second division of Spain.
"Almeria" officially confirmed that the 43-year-old Guti will replace the dismissed Pedro Emanuel as the head coach.
Guti has been tasting the coaching bread since 2013, but working with the "Almeria" club will be his first job as a head coach.
From 2013 to 2018, Guti worked with the youth of Madrid's "Real", and in the 2018-19 season he became the assistant coach to Senol Gunes at Istanbul's "Besiktas".
"Almeria" is currently in second place after 14 rounds in the second division. However, despite this, the team has only won one match in the last five games, and the club's goals are the highest - to return to the "La Liga" championships.
