Guti: "I hope to one day be able to train "Real"

Madrid's "Real" legend and fan favorite Guti is making his way into the big football – a 42-year-old Spaniard, known as one of the best defenders raised in the "Real" academy, is currently coaching the Istanbul "Beşiktaş" team this season.

Since 2013 until last summer, Guti worked at the Madrid "Real" academy, but this season he decided to go to Turkey and work as an assistant to "Beşiktaş" coach Senol Günes.

There is a good chance that Guti will become the head coach of the "Beşiktaş" team next summer. Speaking to the newspaper "Marca," the Spaniard did not hide his goal of one day taking over the reins of the main "Real" team.

"Of course, I have always said that," Guti said about his desire to work with the main "Real" team. "Being a coach on the bench in this club is the absolute maximum. I felt the same way when I was a player."

"Coaching this team would be something special one day. I know I still have a lot to achieve, but I felt the same way when I was a player here. I am not afraid of this challenge at all.

The only thing I want now is to have the opportunity to work with a professional team and continue the process of improvement. At the moment, I am truly happy with the path I have taken.

Now I just have to become the head coach of a professional team. I await that eagerly and with great enthusiasm. I hope it will happen this summer," Guti added.

Guti made a name for himself in his playing years with his exceptional vision and unconventional decisions. Asked about his coaching style, the former footballer added: "I would like my team to play as I played. Of course, it is not always possible to achieve, but that is my vision."
