The security guard of the giant of Spain, Guti, suffered a groin injury in the UEFA Champions League match against "Lyon" on Tuesday evening and will be out of lineup for at least three weeks. The attacking player, who played only 21 minutes, was forced to leave the field after being roughly tackled by Lyon's defender Jeremy Toulalanas, and was replaced by the team's summer acquisition from London's "Arsenal," the guard Jose Antonio Reyes. The 30-year-old footballer underwent tests which revealed a minor tear in his groin. In the last round of the Spanish championship against Santander's "Racing," the player was sent off the field and received a two-match suspension, missing the matches against "Valencia" and "Bilbao Athletic" in any case. The absence of this influential guard, who recently extended his contract with the "royal" club for another two years and committed to stay until June 2010, will force coach Fabio Capello to rearrange his team for the match against "Valencia." The winter break in the Spanish "Primera" league will start before Christmas, on December 20th, meaning that Guti will only rejoin the team on the field after the New Year.
