Hector Bellerin apologized after another shameful failure of London's "Arsenal" against Munich's "Bayern".
Having lost in Germany with a score of 5-1, the "gunners" would most likely have advanced to the next stage only by miracle, but it did not happen. Footballers from the English capital were equally shattered at home.
It is not surprising that these recent results deeply upset the team's fans, some of whom left the stadium even before the final whistle blew.
"I am really hurt because I saw fans leaving the stadium early," Bellerin told the official "Arsenal" website.
"Ultimately we play for them, we want them to be happy, to support us, and seeing them leave so early is painful."
"We must apologize to the fans, because we want to perform better. We just need to try to make them happy in the remaining part of the season."
"We know we have both talented players and potential to play well, we just need to play each match like we started on Tuesday. If we play this way, we can be at the top."
"We knew that bouncing back would be very difficult for us, we just need to look at ourselves, learn from this situation and focus on Saturday. We have one more match, one more tournament where we know we can perform well, and we need to prepare for it."
On Saturday, "Arsenal" will face "Lincoln City" in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
