"Nice" striker Hatem Ben Arfa dreams of wearing the French national team jersey at the 2016 European Championship.
After a very poor previous season, the former "Newcastle United" player is performing much better this year, and yesterday he scored two goals against one of the "Ligue 1" leaders, "Saint-Etienne," and climbed to the top of the list of the most productive players.
The regained form gives hope to the 28-year-old footballer to return to the national team for the first time since 2012.
"It's still far away, but why not?" - asked by L'Equipe if he hopes to travel to the European Championship, Ben Arfa replied.
"The French team has many good players. It is a very solid group, which has been together for a long time and has a strong foundation."
"It's hard to get in. But whether I prove myself worthy to be there depends only on me."
