Argentinian football legend Hernan Crespo does not intend to criticize Turin's "Juventus" for spending millions on acquiring Gonzalo Higuain.
This summer, "Juventus" is shaking up the transfer market. First, they bought a 28-year-old forward for 90 million euros, and later they sold midfielder Paul Pogba to "Manchester United" for a record 110 million euros (+ 5 million in bonuses).
According to H. Crespo, G. Higuain was worth even more than the amount P. Pogba was sold for. The main reason for this is the striker's position and goal-scoring record.
"Nobody gives anything away for free, especially in football," H. Crespo began the conversation. "If 'Juventus' paid such a sum to 'Napoli' for Gonzalo Higuain, it seems that he was worth that amount."
"In my understanding, it is logical to pay 90 million euros for a forward who scored 36 goals in the 'Serie A' championship. This acquisition by 'Juventus' is more logical than 'Man Utd,' who paid 110 million euros for Paul," added the Argentine.
