H. Kane: I believe we can win the World Championship

The new England national team captain believes in its chances to fight for gold at the World Cup.

The "Three Lions" team will seek to redeem itself in Russia after experiencing a fiasco two years ago at the European Championship, when they lost to Iceland in the quarterfinals.

Although England last became the strongest team in the world in 1966, Tottenham striker believes that this year's achievement can be repeated.

"Dreaming about winning the World Cup is impossible, it is the most important tournament in the world," Kane said. "Playing in it is my big dream. It is impossible not to think about it."

"I believe we can (win). I think anyone can win. I don't intend to sit here and say that we won't win, because we can. It just depends on our mindset."

"I want to win in all areas I am involved in, and I know many players in the team also want to win everywhere."

"That's what we will try to do. It will be very difficult, there will be really good teams at the World Cup, but it's worth fighting for."

"I am sure we all dreamed of lifting trophies. This is our opportunity and we intend to fight for it and give everything we have."

Kane also added that England used to suffer from a negative mindset in the past, so being captain, he hopes to change the situation.
