The European Championship final, during which the Italians defeated the English, was marked by a plethora of incidents. After the unrest caused by fans at Wembley stadium and other locations in England, the Three Lions players were finally subjected to insults, especially the black athletes who missed penalties in the shootout. Following these events, England's attacking leader Harry Kane decided to speak out. "These three guys were fantastic all summer and had the courage to step up when everything was on the line. They deserve support, not racist insults. If you attack anyone on social media, you are not an England fan and we don't need you," wrote H. Kane.
