H. Lloris: I stayed at "Tottenham" because of Pochettino

Londono "Tottenham" goalkeeper Hugo Lloris admitted that he considered the possibility of leaving the club. However, this happened before the arrival of coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Before the Argentine took the helm of the "Spurs," the 29-year-old footballer signed a new five-year contract and became the team's captain.

In 2014, just a few months after Tim Sherwood was fired, Lloris was interested in "Manchester United" and several other clubs, and a move seemed quite possible.

"I feel very good here," the goalkeeper told L'Equipe. "I can even say that since Pochettino arrived, I have found new standards for myself."

"My second season was very difficult because, although I maintained a certain level, overall, especially against strong teams, we had a lot of flaws."

"I felt that this is not a strong but an unstable club, changing coaches in the middle of the season - that's exactly what I wouldn't want to see in football. Indeed, before Pochettino arrived, I had many questions for myself."

Lloris and the "Spurs" can secure a place in the top four of the Premier League if they defeat Liverpool's "Everton" today. Moreover, they are not far from the highest positions.
