London's "Tottenham" captain Hugo Lloris hopes that the "Spurs" will bounce back after last week's defeat in the UEFA Champions League.
Playing at Wembley Stadium this time, Mauricio Pochettino's players lost 2-1 to "Monaco."
However, the Frenchman hopes that this year his team will perform better than last year when they dropped out of the race for the Premier League title at the end of the season.
"We used to say that giants don't lose twice in a row. Now we are giants. It is important to bounce back after a defeat," said Lloris.
"We know that we have great potential. We have a good chance to play in the Champions League and show Europe that Tottenham is growing and moving in the right direction."
"We aim to play better than last season. We can always look forward because we are young and have potential, but talk is not enough. We must step onto the field and prove it."
Today, the North London club will face "Sunderland."
