French national team captain Hugo Lloris believes that Paul Pogba's experience in club football allows him to become a leader representing his country.
Despite being criticized throughout practically the entire season at Manchester United, the midfielder is currently demonstrating excellent play in the ongoing World Cup.
Under his leadership, "Les Bleus" have already reached the quarterfinals of the tournament, where they will face Uruguay tonight.
"He is maturing. He is growing. He has been gaining experience with 'Man United' and 'Juventus' recently," Lloris said at a press conference. "He is starting to grow and take on responsibility. He is a true leader. He is very ambitious."
"We all know that he is very talented and can offer a lot to his team and teammates. I think tournaments like this show the players' talent well, and I am sure it will be the case with Paul."
The mentioned match against the Uruguayan footballers will start at 17:00 local Lithuanian time.
