"Manchester United" finished their journey in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday after suffering a 2-3 defeat to "RB Leipzig" in the crucial Group H match. The "Red Devils" conceded two goals in the first 13 minutes, and the poor start to the match was emphasized by "Man Utd" captain Harry Maguire. "We started the match too slowly. We looked really poor. In the first 20 minutes, we practically didn't play. The opponents made two passes into the penalty area and we couldn't deal with them. First of all, we need to look at ourselves. Such a start to the game significantly complicates our task. You saw for yourselves that we were missing very little, but the poor start prevented us from moving to the next stage. During the break, we said that the next goal would be crucial. However, the opponents scored a third goal and the situation became even more difficult. Nevertheless, at the end we had a chance to move on to the quarterfinals. I don't want to look for excuses. We need to play much more aggressively. If we can't defend against such passes into the penalty area, we will lose the game. Our group was really tough, but we feel that we could have gone further. I am very disappointed for the team, as everyone worked hard to return to the Champions League," - said H. Maguire after the defeat.
