"PSV defender Hector Moreno apologized to Luke Shaw for the latter's terrible injury suffered in last night's Champions League match. L. Shaw will be out of action for at least six months. He is scheduled to undergo surgery today, after which a more precise rehabilitation time should be determined. "I feel very bad because I was involved in this incident. I am very sorry," said PSV defender H. Moreno after the match. "I think I played the ball, but in such a situation no one cares whether it was a mistake or not, I just feel bad for him and his family," he added. "I myself was in a similar situation during the last World Cup and I know how unpleasant it is. It's hard to say what happened. Now I just hope that Shaw returns to the field as soon as possible." Louis van Gaal also shared his thoughts on the situation after the match. "It's awful. When he was 18, he came to Manchester, had a very difficult first season, and at the beginning of the next season he played fantastically, but then this happened," lamented the "Manchester United" coach. "When Shaw was taken to the dressing room, he was wearing an oxygen mask and crying."
"First of all I wanna send my strength to @LukeShaw23. I've been through this before and I know how it feels.. So I hope for a fast recovery," tweeted Hector Moreno.
"For you and see u again on the field. All the best," he followed up.
"You can judge the incident yourselves. When I say it was a penalty and a red card, everyone says I don't know how to lose," he added.
