PSV defenders Hector Moreno and coach Phillip Cocu visited the injured Manchester United defender Luke Shaw on Tuesday, who suffered a very serious injury.
The 20-year-old English national team footballer broke his leg and had to undergo surgery after a collision with PSV's H. Moreno, and will be forced to miss 6-9 months of football due to the injury.
H. Moreno insists he did not intend to harm his opponent and expressed remorse for the consequences.
Meanwhile, today in the hospital in Eindhoven, L. Shaw received visitors - H. Moreno and PSV coach P. Cocu, who revealed that this visit was beneficial for everyone.
"We asked if Luke would like us to visit him and he agreed. We showed our support for him. Thankfully, his worst pains are already behind him," said P. Cocu to NOS television.
"We asked if we could help him in any way. For Moreno himself, this visit was very helpful and helped him calm down."
Meanwhile, PSV fans also showed respect for the injured opponent, sending flowers and well wishes to the hospital for a speedy recovery.
L. Shaw recently underwent a second operation, and he should return to England this weekend.
