„Queens Park Rangers“ strategist Harry Redknapp responded to speculations that he may be fired after a slow start to the season. The Englishman claims not to feel any pressure.
There have been rumors in the press for some time that the 67-year-old specialist could be replaced by Tim Sherwood, who led London's "Tottenham" last year. Redknapp himself was also fired from the position of head coach before arriving at QPR.
In August, it was almost certain that the strategist would sign a new two-year contract with the club, but it did not happen and Redknapp is now not sure about his future.
„I won't lie to you, I really didn't care that the contract negotiations failed. I'm not losing any sleep over it. In general, what are contracts anyway?“
„There is a coach in the Premier League with a ten-year contract. So what? If you get fired, you don't get money for eight years. You get fired and you get what you get. Usually, a few months' salary.“
„Contracts mean nothing if you do your job well. If we stay in the league this season and I'm still at the helm of the club at the end of the year, I will definitely be pleased with an offer to stay for another season.“
„I woke up at four o'clock this morning. I love my job. I still have a great passion. I don't need anyone's guarantees. I do what I can.“
