Having made changes in the coaching staff, "Everton" dealt a blow to the "Chelsea" team

At 14:30 in the English Premier League, the first matches of the 16th round were played. The London "Chelsea" team, coached by Frank Lampard, suffered their third loss in the last five games. Liverpool's "Everton," who dismissed Marco Silva this week, proved their superiority at home with a 3-1 win over the visitors from London. The start of the match for the home team was just ideal - in the 5th minute after a great pass from Djibril Sidibe, Richarlison directed the ball into Kepa's goal with his head. The second half started with the same scenario - "Chelsea" did not understand their defensive actions, Dominic Calvert-Lewin deceived Kurt Zouma and increased the team's lead with a shot to the ground. Nevertheless, "Chelsea" soon managed to get back into the game - just three minutes later, Mateo Kovacic unleashed a shot from about 20 meters and Jordan Pickford was powerless. This was the first goal by the Croatian in the Premier League. "Chelsea" had all the chances to eliminate the deficit, but defensive mistakes in the 84th minute cost them another goal, which sealed the final result in this clash. Kepa made a pass to K. Zouma, which did not reach the ball, "Everton" sprinted forward, and D. Calvert-Lewin redirected the ball into the "Chelsea" goal after a scrum in the penalty area. With 29 points, "Chelsea" remains in fourth place, but their lead over the closest pursuer could decrease to just three points. After the victory, "Everton" rose to 14th place. Result: "Everton" 3 - 1 "Chelsea" 5' [1 - 0] Richarlison 49' [2 - 0] D. Calvert-Lewin 52' [2 - 1] M. Kovacic 84' [3 - 1] D. Calvert-Lewin
