Antonio Conte, who won three consecutive Serie A champion titles with Turin's Juventus team in 2014, unexpectedly left the team for many. However, Juventus fans were in for an even bigger surprise - the team's coach became Massimiliano Allegri. The 47-year-old strategist had a hard time leading the Milan team, but the football specialist excelled in Turin.
Although Juventus fans were not happy with the new coach, Allegri had already proven that the doubts were unjust. The specialist proved his worth with his work.
"I think the fans' reaction after my hiring was normal, so now I just have to forgive them. The month of July was marked by big and sudden changes in the club.
When I agreed to become the coach of Juventus, I felt very happy. I was glad to have the opportunity to win something, but I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to win the fans' sympathies. I said that I would do it with good results," Allegri said.
In the Serie A standings, Juventus is moving closer to their fourth consecutive Scudetto, leading second-placed Roma by 14 points.
In the Italian Cup, the team has already reached the semi-finals, and in the UEFA Champions League - the quarter-finals. In the 2013-2014 season, "The Old Lady" finished their Champions League performance after the group stage.
"Hard work and the fans' respect have helped us achieve what we have. Actually, we don't have anything yet. We need to continue what we are doing, because we haven't really won the Italian championship, the cup, or the Champions League," noted the Juventus coach.
When Allegri took over Milan in the 2010-2011 season, the team won the Scudetto in the first season.
