Five matches of the Scottish "Premier" league were played on Saturday. Glazgo "Celtic" and Edinburgh "Hearts" share the first place on the tournament table at least until Sunday.

The "Lithuanian" Edinburgh club won a convincing 4-1 victory at home against "Inverness CT". Valdas Ivanauskas' pupils, playing without several team leaders, broke through in the middle of the first half when Chilean newcomer Mauricio Pinilla scored. Although Graham Bayne equalized the score after ten minutes, young players Jamie Mole, Andry Driver, and Portuguese Bruno Aguiaras made their mark for "Hearts", and the Edinburgh club celebrated victory.

In this match, Lithuanian Marius Žaliūkas made his debut for the Edinburgh club, playing the full match. Another Lithuanian, Saulius Mikoliūnas, also played the full match and provided an assist for the third goal. Lithuanian national team players Edgaras Jankauskas, Nerijus Barasa, and Deividas Česnauskis could not play due to injuries.

The Dutch national team striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink made a fantastic debut for Glazgo "Celtic", scoring the winning goal in a fierce match against Edinburgh "Hibernian". The capital club Glazge took the lead deservedly after a goal from Scott Brown, but "Celtic" equalized when Polish national team striker Maciej Zurawski scored after a pass from newcomer Lee Naylor.

In the beginning of the second half, J.V. of Hesselink scored the winning goal after rushing to the bouncing ball.

"Dundee United" achieved a great victory away against "St Mirren", with captain Barry Robson scoring two goals, but he received a red card at the end of the match.

"Motherwell" and "Aberdeen" won minimal victories on Saturday, defeating "Falkirk" and "Dunfermline" respectively.

The last round of matches will take place on Sunday - Glazgo "Rangers" will try to regain the top spot in a duel with "Kilmarnock".
