Edinburgh club, owned by Lithuanian businessman Vladimir Romanov, has finally finished the search for a new head coach. One of the strongest Scottish teams this season will now be led by Graham Rix.

The new coach is expected to be officially introduced at a press conference tomorrow. It is still unclear how long the contract with the coach will be signed for. Former England national team defender, today along with V. Romanov went to the club's training base, where he was introduced to the main team players.

"We feel his energy and see that he is ambitious," - said Roman, who is currently holding the position of club president.

Meanwhile, the coach himself said he is happy to work with "Hearts": "I saw the team play on Saturday and I am very excited to work with those players. It is a great opportunity for me, so I am very grateful for the opportunity."

G. Rix unsuccessfully coached Oxford United in the English second division until March of this year. Prior to that, the expert, who played 17 matches for the England national team, has managed and worked as an assistant coach in London.

However, "Hearts" fans seem not very pleased with G. Rix's choice. According to them, the club should look for a coach of the same or higher level than George Burley, whose services V. Romanov recently declined.

Earlier, such famous coaches as Sir Bobby Robson, Claudio Ranieri, or Ottmar Hitzfeld were considered the main favorites for the "Hearts" coach position. However, none of these coaches accepted the offer.

Along with the new coach, a new football director responsible for the team composition should be appointed on Tuesday. His name is not revealed yet, but rumors suggest that it could be the legendary Arsenal player and coach B. Robson or former Chelsea coach Gianluca Vialli, who worked together with G. Rix.
