Edinburgh's "Hearts" club, owned by Lithuanian businessman Vladimir Romanov, is asking fans for 2.5 million euros in support.

According to the press release, only this amount will save the team from collapse and allow them to finish the season. Due to unpaid taxes amounting to over 560 thousand euros, "Hearts" is facing liquidation.

The Edinburgh team hopes to raise the majority of the sum by selling 10% of the club's shares. Anyone interested can buy them.

"Romanov is no longer financing the club. We need 2.5 million euros to last until summer. This deficit occurs every year, so we need to solve this problem. Perhaps it will ease up a bit in winter, when the club can sell players," - said a spokesperson for the supporters in the announcement.
