Yesterday an interview with the head coach of the club John Robertson was published on the official website, in which he claims that the new "heroes from Lithuania" will sign new contracts with the Edinburgh club.

Currently, in the club owned by Lithuanian businessman Vladimir Romanov, there are three Lithuanians: , , and . Out of this trio, only Česnauskis is on loan until the end of the season from the Lithuanian champions "FBK Kaunas," while the other two have contracts until the end of the season with "Hearts."

"The only reason they have short-term contracts is because we wanted to see if they could adapt to Scottish football and if they would like Edinburgh," Robertson said on the club's website. "We evaluated Mikoliūnas and Kižys earlier when they came for trials, but we had no doubts about Česnauskis, who played in friendly matches for the Lithuanian national team."

"We spoke with Mr. Romanov and he assured that if they play well, the players can stay at the club for a longer period," Robertson said. "There is no doubt that they will stay for a longer period - we have already discussed that."

The head coach of the Edinburgh club also did not hesitate to praise the Lithuanian players' performance: "They play excellently. You have already seen what Mikoliūnas can do, and considering that Česnauskis takes Saulius' place in the Lithuanian national team, it shows what talent Deividas has. Young Marius has not had time to show his abilities yet, but he is no less talented."

"I promote attacking football. Every time they (Mikoliūnas and Česnauskis) get the ball, you know something will happen. They are that type of players. This season, such players were only Dennis Wyness and Paul Hartley," Robertson praised the Lithuanians.

The club also puts a lot of effort into acquiring striker Lee Miller from "Bristol City." Currently, the 21-year-old striker is on loan from the English team, but his impressive performance (three goals in the last three "Hearts" matches) has earned him the support of many fans and the coach.

"Lee wants to stay here, so clubs will try to agree on the transfer. These things take time, but we will try to sort everything out as quickly as possible," the "Hearts" coach said.

It is worth noting that today, at 5:00 PM Lithuanian time, "Hearts" will play away in the Scottish championship match against "Motherwell."
