Greece national team defender will play for Edinburgh. The European champion has been on a team trial for some time, and today, along with goalkeeper Steve Banks, signed contracts and officially became team members.
32-year-old left-back "Takis" Fyssas started his career at the "Panionios" team, where he played for 9 seasons, in 1999 he moved to "Panathinaikos". Since December 2003, the Greek represented the Lisbon club and in his first year at the club won the Portuguese Cup, and the following season also won the Portuguese championship.
Fyssas achieved his greatest career victory last summer, when he shocked the football world with the Greek national team and triumphed in the European Championships. In total, he has played 46 games for his national team.
