Hegelmann" continues to march on the triumphant path in "TOPsport A League

The 23rd round of the "TOPsport A League" started at the Telšiai City Stadium, where the local team "Džiugas" met the Kaunas district team "Hegelmann". The Kaunas team celebrated a tough victory with a score of 2:0 (0:0).

In the first 15 minutes, the players of the "Hegelmann" team had more ball control, but they did not create any danger in front of the opponent's goal. The Džiugas team took two shots towards Arijaus Bražinskas' goal, but the goalkeeper did not have to get involved in the action.

In the middle of the first half, a dangerous shot was taken by the "Džiugas" player Leifas Estevezas, who defended the colors of today's opponents last year. A few minutes later, the host team's goalkeeper Ivan Baturino was tested by Patrick Popescu.

Just before the break, Emilis Gasiūnas got angry from outside the penalty area, but A. Bražinskas caught the ball on the second attempt.

The second half started with a painful mistake by the Telšiai goalkeeper I. Baturino - the "Hegelmann" team forward Michael Thuique intercepted the ball from the Latvian and sent it into the empty net.

The most realistic opportunity for the Telšiai team to equalize came at the very end of the match - A. Bražinskas saved Nino Noordanus' penalty kick, and the rebound was sent far from the goal by the Ukrainian Miroslav Puškarov.

The final goal in the match was scored by Esmilis Kaušinis, who sent the ball into the completely empty net from afar, scoring his debut goal in the championship.

Andrius Skerla's players, with 45 points, continue to chase the league leaders Vilnius "Žalgiris", while Telšiai, with 30 points, are in fourth place.
