Earlier, Žydrūnas Mačaitis, who had previously coached goalkeepers at Telšiai's "Džiugas" and Klaipėda's "Neptūnas" clubs, joined the Kaunas district's FC "Hegelmann" team.

The 52-year-old specialist from Tauragė has been coaching goalkeepers for almost 15 years. For a long time, he trained goalkeepers at Tauragė's "Tauras" club, where he also began and ended his football career.

A specialist holding UEFA B and UEFA GK B goalkeeper licenses is delighted to join the blue and white team.

"After meeting with club management and coaches, my view of modern football coincided with the club's. I feel great, the team is good, and they warmly welcomed me. I am grateful to the head coach of the team, Andrius Skerla, and the club's management for their trust," said the goalkeeper coach.

"There are big challenges and a lot of work ahead, but I think everything will be fine - the coaching staff, medical personnel, and administration left a good impression," said Ž. Mačaitis.

Ž. Mačaitis replaced Artūras Ramoška, who had been working at the blue and white club for the past two seasons.
