On August 5-6, the 5th Baltic Minifootball Cup 6x6 tournament took place in the Latvian capital Riga, where the "Hegelmann Minifootball" team participated for the first time.
The blue and white team started the tournament with a match against Latvia's "FS LLT" and after a fierce battle, they had to admit their opponent's superiority with a score of 0:2. In the other games of the day, they also faced stronger opponents. They were defeated 1:3 by the reigning champions of the Lithuanian minifootball championship, FSK "Radviliškis". Vytautas Giedra scored the team's only goal.
The "Hegelmann Minifootball" team finished the competition by securing a convincing victory against the strongest Latvian team from last year, which had not yet experienced a loss in this tournament. After goals from Rolandas Gumbrys and Mindaugas Kasparas, the blue and white team defeated Tukums' "Krupis City" players 2:0.
However, this was not enough to advance to the next stage of the tournament and continue the competition.
