The last match of the 11th round of the Scottish "Premier" League took place on Monday - Edinburgh's "Hibernian" celebrated a resounding victory without their head coach against "Dunfermline" located at the bottom of the tournament table.
0 - 4
44' [0 - 1] Ivan Sproule
62' [0 - 2] Christopher Killen
89' [0 - 3] Abdessalam Ben Jelloun
90' [0 - 4] Christopher Killen
Despite the absence of coach Tony Mowbray, the "Hibernian" team showed a successful performance last week in the Edinburgh derby against "Hearts" and, gaining confidence in their abilities, dominated the match against "Dunfermline". However, most of the first half was saved by the hosts' goalkeeper, Dorus De Vries.
Nevertheless, the visitors finally opened the scoring in the 44th minute - fast Ivan Sproule, after receiving a pass from Chris Killen, broke away alone against D. De Vries and scored with a precise shot. After the break, the Edinburgh team continued to attack the opponents' goal, and although Michael Stewart hit the crossbar midway through the second half, C. Killen scored after I. Sproule's raid.
At the end of the match, the host team's rout was completed by Abdessalams Ben Jelloun and C. Killen, who scored his second goal. "Hibernian" won 4-0 and secured their fourth victory of the season, collecting 15 points in goal difference overtaking "Aberdeen" and pushing them into sixth place, while "Dunfermline" shares the last position with "Dundee Utd".
