The drama at the European Football Championship continues.

Hungary secured a crucial victory in the last minute against Scotland - 1:0.

The beginning and the first half of the match were quite quiet - there were few opportunities and quality play. The teams grew into the game in the second half.

In the 68th minute, Bernard Varga suffered an unfortunate incident. The striker collided with the elbow of Scotland's goalkeeper Angus Gunn and seemed to lose consciousness. He was carried off the field.

Towards the end, the teams exchanged opportunities, as only victory satisfied them in order to progress further.

In the second minute of added time, Kevin Csoboth hit the crossbar, and Dominik Szoboszlai also had a few chances. Finally, K. Csoboth seized his opportunity. The well-positioned forward extended Hungary's lead in the 10th minute of added time.

By securing the victory, Hungary has kept at least minimal chances to advance to the knockout stage. They finished in 3rd place in Group A. The next stage will be reached by the top 4 teams finishing in 3rd place in their groups.
