“Arsenal” achieved revenge against “West Ham United” for three consecutive defeats in the past and what a revenge it was.
Away from home, the “Gunners” crushed the “Hammers” 6-0.
At the end of the first half, “Arsenal” simply tore apart the opponents' goal. First, in the 32nd minute, William Saliba scored a header after a set-piece. Nine minutes later, Bukayo Saka converted a penalty from 11 meters, which he himself had provoked. Gabriel and Leandro Trossard added another goal each shortly after.
The victory in the second half was sealed by Saka's second goal. Finally, Declan Rice, returning to the stadium where he spent the first part of his career, marked a powerful strike that Alphonse Areola could not manage.
Leading “Arsenal” to victory were Martin Odegaard (2 assists), Bukayo Saka (2 goals), and Declan Rice's trio (1 goal, 2 assists).
Mikel Arteta's pupils continue to keep “Manchester City” and “Liverpool” at bay in the league table. “West Ham” fell to 8th place.
