The UEFA Super Cup match taking place in August will go down in history. For the first time in a major UEFA men's tournament, a women's refereeing team will officiate. 35-year-old Frenchwoman Stephanie Frappart will lead the teams of "Liverpool" and London's "Chelsea" onto the field. Joining her on the field will be Manuela Nicolosi from France and Michelle O'Neal from Ireland. Earlier this year, S. Frappart also made history in men's football when she became the first woman to referee a "Ligue 1" match between "Amiens" and "Strasbourg". The winners of the Europa League and the Champions League will compete for the Super Cup trophy on August 14 in Istanbul.
