Strategist Roy Hodgson admits that forward Fernando Torres lacks confidence in his abilities.
The Spanish player, plagued by injuries this season, has only scored one goal in over ten games and is just a shadow of his former self.
"At the moment, there are no problems due to Fernando's injuries," said Hodgson. "He received a lot of criticism after the World Cup, so he is psychologically weakened. Torres needs to score a goal or two, and then his confidence will return."
At the end of last season, the footballer suffered a knee injury but managed to recover and participate in the World Championship. Things didn't go well for the forward, and in the final match, Torres injured his groin.
